Listen, the reality is there will always be someone better than you at whatever it is you’re doing. Yeah, big ole truth bomb. But it is the truth. There will be someone smarter, someone more advanced, more qualified, with more experience. But who gives a shit. You, just as you are are still good enough.
And it doesn’t matter what you are doing or the arena in which you are playing. It could be in your career, relationships, your side hustle, or friendships. You have to show up for yourself and know that you’re bomb dot com.
See the secret sauce is everything that goes into making up who you are at your core. The uniqueness of your experiences mixed with your skills, training, and dynamic thinking. The combination cannot and never will be re-created or duplicated. Whew! That should make you smile.
That means, there is no competition. Period. No one can ever say what you say, think the ideas that you think, or execute like only you can. No one.
So go out there, today. Be exactly who you were divinely designed to be. Don’t look over to the left or the right. You don’t need to check out what the next woman is doing. If she is out in front of you, let her race inspire you. Let it motivate you to succeed in your lane, where you are. And don’t look back. See when you finish one race, you get to stand at the finish line and encourage her too!
You. Are. Good. Enough! Believe that, like really believe that. Do not pass go. Do not keep scrolling. Let that idea sink into your consciousness. You are worthy, always have been.
I know what you’re thinking, yep but how do I bring this idea to life. I am so glad you asked girlfriend!
Let’s do an experiment. Just for a day, pick one or all of these things. Flex your “ I am good enough” muscle:
Wear what makes you feel good not what you think will please the people who will observe you.
That shade of lipstick that you’ve wanted to try but been afraid because they say “it’s not for your skin tone.” Fuck that! Buy it and wear it!
Ask for the meeting and present the idea you’ve been thinking about for weeks.
Doing something as simple as one or all of those things will build a foundation of some serious confidence in who you are and what you bring to the world.
Don’t try to be perfect, just be you!
